Parish Sunday Intercessions

FEAST OF THE EPIPHANY

Priest

Today we remember the visit of the magi to the stable at Bethlehem. Joining with them in adoring Christ as Lord and Saviour, we make our prayer to God the Father.

Reader

That the Church on earth may serve as a beacon of light, helping people to find Christ.

Lord, in Your mercy...

We pray that Christ may be the star that guides our whole life - the centre of our worship, and the focus of our hope.

Lord, in Your mercy...

We pray that God may reveal His glory to those who are still searching, by opening their minds and hearts to His love.

Lord, in Your mercy...

We pray for sick people everywhere, those who are disabled, those who are alone, and those who find life meaningless.  May the revelation of God's power be at work through those who minister to them.

Lord, in Your mercy...

For our friends and relatives who have died, that having reached their journey's end, they may meet Jesus and His mother Mary.

Lord, in Your mercy...

May Mary, Mother of Jesus and our Mother, intercede for us as we say..…

Hail Mary..........

Let us remember our own special needs, and pray for all who have asked the prayers of our parish community.

Priest

Father, You revealed Your Son to all the peoples of the world on this day.  Lead us from the guiding star of faith, by which we know You now, to the vision of Your glory. Amen
